Sanding :
Maximum Hardwood Floors, Corp. uses the latest equipment
and proven techniques to sand your old floors and bring then
back to life. When your hardwood floor needs a face lift
you can count on our hardwood flooring specialists to do
the job right.
Oil Modified Polyurethane :
Your wood floor at its natural color, we will sand the floors
and apply 3 coats of oil base polyurethane, this process
take approximately 3 to 4 days, you have a choice of satin
(doll look), semi-gloss (median shine) or high-gloss(very
shiny). The cost for this procedure starts at $3.00 a square
foot. * Finish will amber with in time.
Water based Polyurethane :
Fast drying time, will keep your floors at its lightest
color, will not amber, we will sand your floors and apply
one coat of sealer and 2 or more coats of water-borne urethane.
This finish is more expensive then oil base.
Stains :
If your desire is to have your floors matching your furniture,
doors, trims or you are just have something in mind.
We can customize and mix our stain color to achieve the
*perfect tone for you hardwood floors.
We will sand your floors, apply one coat of stain and 2
coats of oil based polyurethane, this process usually take
from 3 to 4 or more days (depending on the type of wood and
pigmentation of chosen stain)
*color matching depends on graining of wood, color of
wood and stain pigmentation.
Restoration :
With over 13 years in the Northern New Jersey, New York
and Connecticut, we learned to do restoration on beautiful
turn of the century Victorians style floors.
Very often we had to duplicate patterns that were 100 years
old!
We understand wood ages and change colors, becoming darker,
we developed techniques to help us match as close as possible
new to old wood.
In our shop we can duplicate old patterns, parquets, herringbones,
strip and plank flooring not available in the market these
days.
We are also capable of making our own custom transitions,
round bull nosing, reducers, etc…
We can design and make custom pattern floors to your specifications.

Hand Scraping
Hand Scraping is taking a brand new floor and perfect condition
floor and make it look like a 100 years old, by scraping
the (spring wood) soft wood out, hand sanding, hand staining,
hand coating using tong oil or wax, we can achieve a superb
and realistic replica of a turn of the century, worn out
floors look. |
